Jewelry designer Atheen Short was born in the Caribbean and moved to New York in her teens. Growing up Atheen was always passionate about style especially jewelry and accessories, at 19 inspired by her new surroundings she started designing and wearing her own pieces. Friends, family and co-workers quickly noticed her exotic talent and unique pieces and the dream of designing professionally soon became a reality, with the launch of Atheen Designs in 1992.

Ethy Short views her pieces as a way to express herself through the art of jewelry design and draws her inspiration from a number sources, London and New York fashion weeks, being in nature or simply listening to wonderful chill out music.
